Some Great News!!!

As you know I was just in Munich to visit Mel. The trip was more than just a normal visit, because I asked her to marry me and she said yes!!!

We went to dinner at the place we met. It was called New York Café when we met but is now called Brick. So, we had a nice dinner and afterwards I gave her a box of matches from that was from the NY Café. She opened the box up and inside was the ring. Everyone in the restaurant was watching by this point. So, I asked to marry me and she said yes!!!

We haven’t picked a date or anything because we need to check out what we need to do to get her a visa so she can come over here and live. But we are on the home stretch. As soon as we know more we will let you know.

Viva la München!

So, I am back in Munich for a visit. My flight over was uneventful. Which is always good. :) I arrived at 8:10 on Sunday. It is kind of strange to be back, but it is good. I really do miss the lifestyle here. There is actually public transportation, and the beer is excellent.

We are probably heading to Berlin this weekend as Mel's whole family is there. We are going to rent a car so I'll get to drive on the Autobahn. Yes! I'm looking forward to that.

Well, off to do some shopping.

It's a Girl

There is a new addition to the Chaky family. Jen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl today, Katelyn. She was a couple of weeks early I believe. Julian worked pretty quickly to get some picks up online. I put a couple below. There are more on his site at Chaky.net

She is 6 lbs 6 oz (~2900 grams)

and 18.24 inches (~46 cm) in length
