Let it snow, Let it snow!

So, we finally got our first real snow this year. Everybody seems to be complaining about it. I don't mind it though. It makes everything peacefull outside. Unless you're stuck out in it I guess.

Anyway, since the snow was on Saturday it gave me an excuse not to pick up a weekend shift this weekend. So, I managed to get some stuff done, Yipee!! One of the things I managed is going to brand me as a nerd, i guess.. I finally managed to get Linux installed on one of my computers. Yeah, I know...not much exciting going on right now :( But seriously it is cool because it will be good to have another option other Microsoft, and it is free.

The other thing I did was had some time to work on Gen's website. It is far from done but it is a start. It's for her business. Check it out: metamorphosis-designs.com

Oh, another thing to check out is Dawn's roommate's blog. She is currently in Romania setting up an office for her company. It's a great opportunity, sounds like she is having a lot of fun too: reedinromania.blogspot.com

Well, it's back to the grind tomorrow. It's been two days let's see if people are still retarded about driving. ....

The Big 30!!!

So it turns out I didn't do anything extravigant or crazy for my 30th birthday. Mel and I went to DC to the Smithsonian. And yes we did go to the history museum. Appropriate huh? There's a pic below with me getting chomped by a T-rex.

And here's Mel's head. :)

After spending the day looking at old stuff... we decided to have dinner at Dubliner an Irish Pub in DC. It was pretty good the food was excellent and it reminded me a bit of Kilian's in Munich. You know being an Irish pub and all... here I am with my Birthday Beer. ;)

I'm back!!

Man I have been dreadfully bad at keeping up with this.

Well, a lot has happened since I last wrote. First, I didn't get the job. :(
It would have been really nice to be back in Germany, even if it wasn't in Munich. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Christmas has come and gone. I did get some cool gifts this year. Thanks to dad's big bonus I got an Ipod. Yippee!! I also got my first bra. ;) Well a bra for my car that is. It is a cover for the front of the car to protect it from all the junk that flies up off the road. You know like a chunk of rubber tire that is kicked up by the car in front of you. I don't know anything about that...

Anyway, Mel has been here as well. Unfortunately she has already gone back to Germany. :( It was a good visit though. We might see some big changes in the near future. ;)

Some other big news, I turned 30!!!! Ugh, I'm old now....well I prefer to say, 'experienced' . Makes me feel a bit better about it. Does make you think about life a bit though. One thing I do plan on doing better this year and now that I am 30; is keep up with my blog. :)

For new year's eve this year we went to Baltimore to Julian's sister Yasmin's place. It was a great time...drank a bit too much I think. ...I think. One good thing Julian and Mel finally got to meet. You know have to get the best friends approval, you know. Here's a good pic of me and Julian from New Year's eve:
